 Independent label:  Caedmon Literary Series it issued 7" EPs, and it certainly issued LPs in the 60s and 70s, Caedmon was unusual in that it was a Spoken Word label, dedicated to recordings of poetry, books, etc, often by the authors; it was founded in 1952 in the New York by Barbara Holdridge and Marianne Roney, initially to record Dylan Thomas reading one of his works.  The company grew from those humble beginnings, and sparked the Audio Books industry; it is still going today, as the audio branch of publishers Harper Collins.  In Britain, manufacture and distribution were by Philips in the early 1960s - note the typical Philips / Polydor three-pronged push-out centre in the example shown below.  In the '70s, Teakfield Ltd (of Farnborough) and Lugton were handling the label.
