Adams Recordings Records
was a DIY label. It managed one single. Have You Ever Been Lonely
/ Moon River b/w The Hawaiian Wedding Song / Billy Bayou. It issued
singles in an CR-1000 numerical series. Distributed By
Carl Adams
Recordings. Carl Adams was
Beccles crooner Roy Bartram who was singing at venues throughout Norfolk and
Suffolk from around 1963. First noticed by the Archive guesting with the
Lowestoft Blue Beats in mid 1964, we also see him doing turns with The Chris
Gillespie Bd and the house band at The Manor Grill, Happisburgh to name a few.
In August 1965 he became Carl Adams and put out an EP on his own record label.
The backing music for the tracks was provided by The Chic Applin Trio - see Chic
Applin, who were resident at The Norwood Rooms, Norwich. Adams continues to make
guest appearances and at the turn of the decade is a regular in cabaret at The
Tower Restaurant & Casino, Great
Yarmouth.
