DEEP SOUL
A subsidiary
of Soul City records. As its name suggests, Deep Soul was dedicated to
reissuing soul records of particular intensity. It operated from
1968-70, and released a mere half-dozen singles, all of which were licensed from
American sources. The singles, which appeared in a DS-9000 numerical
series, command respectable prices nowadays. Thanks to Robert Lyons for the
info.
