DOMINO
RECORDS

Domino was owned by the Ditchburn Organisation, of Lytham.  Ditchburn was initially a manufacturer, and later an importer, of jukeboxes, so perhaps it's not surprising that Domino seems to have featured mainly pub-friendly music: pianist Neville Dickie, Shep's Banjo Boys and ukulele man Alan Randall all recorded for the company.  The label seems to have had a fairly short life, starting off in 1969 and not getting very far into the '70s.  Numbering of its singles was in the DO-100s.  There was also a red-labelled version, in the same design, called Red Domino.  Reportedly another - presumably different - Domino label had singles out at around the same time; I don't know their prefix but their numbers were in the 250s.  Thanks to Robert Lyons for the info. Manufacture and distribution by Pye Records.
