Granada Television, Music released thanks to the success of
Coronation Street goes back as far as early in 1962 – although it wasn’t until
1963 that the Granada soap had a ‘pop release’. The first notable release was
endorsing Coronation Street’s gritty urban setting with Pat Phoenix howling
along in a North-west knees-up on the ers Chorus.
