PRESIDENT
RECORDS
President Records is one of the oldest names in the
UK independent record scene. Created by Edward Kassner in 1966, President
started as a mainstream pop label in the early sixties, it has been the
launchpad for the careers of a long list of famous artists, including Barry
White, The Equals and Eddy Grant, George McCrae and K.C. and the Sunshine Band
to name but a few. The President catalogue spans the entire range of modern
popular music from the early days of rock and roll right up to the present, and
amongst the eight thousand-plus masters it controls are hits like Shout! Shout!
(Knock Yourself Out) by Ernie Maresca and Bobby's
Girl by Marcie Blaine
The President label is part of the
Kassner Music group. Former
