PYLOT
RECORDS
Pylot Records was Formed in Wales in 1966 by Tony Wyn-David.
The Bystanders were a harmony vocal group who were active
around the South Wales club circuit . Their first disc, the inauspiciously
titled "That's The End", was cut in 1965, and was the first and only release on
the independant Pylot label. At this time the band's lineup consisted of Micky
Jones (guitar), Clive John (organ), Ray Williams (bass), Jeff Jones (drums) and
Lynn Mittell (vocals) who all masqueraded under assumed stage-names. For
Mittell, the first single was also his last as he was sacked and quickly
replaced by singer Vic Oakley from Swansea band 'The
Meteorites'.
