SPINIT
RECORDS
Spinit Records was a DIY label. It managed one
single. It issued singles in an SC-1000 numerical series. The second
City jazzmen were one of the best jazz bands in the Midlands. They held
residency at the Midlands Jazz Club at the Digbeth Institute and were a very
significant regional jazz band and recognised nationally; they would pack out
the Digbeth Institute and dancers would come from all over the UK to dance to
their music. “A Tribute to Madge” is the one and only album they ever recorded.
