MINIT
RECORDS
Minit Records was founded in New Orleans by Joe
Banashak and Larry McKinley early in 1959. Responsible for most of the hits
on Minit was Allen Toussaint, who wrote, played piano, arranged, and produced
most of the music. When Toussaint left the company in 1963, the hits dried out
and the label was sold to Imperial Records and then to Liberty Records who
revived the label in 1966. Manufactured And Distributed By Liberty Records.
