RECORDS
A label from the '60s and early '70s. Founded by,
Gordon Lotinga. Plexium Records of 231 Oxford Street London, W.1.
apparently issued a number of singles which are of interest to collectors of
Psychedelia, The first issues came out in 1968 and were numbered from P-1234
onwards, for some reason. The numbering changed to PXM-0 c.1969,
presumably when Plexium changed distributors - the PXMs were manufactured and
distributed by EMI. Early labels, including the 'P-1000' series,
were dark blue with silver printing, this had been replaced by an orange label
with a cherub on it by the time PXM-17 came out. The company seems to have
ceased trading in 1973. Thank to Robert Lyons for the info.
