Revolution had fingers in several pies. It had separate labels for Rocksteady / Reggae, Soul and Pop; the Rocksteady division seems to have been the most prolific, issuing at least fifteen singles during the period 1968-70, using catalogue numbers in the REV-000s. At some point distribution was by Immediate records, at another by Pama. Singles in the Revolution Soul series were numbered in the REVS-500s; the label was basically the same as the Rocksteady one except that it was coloured orange and it had the word 'SOUL' instead of 'ROCKSTEADY' in the middle of the logo. Numbering reached at least REVS-005, which was issued in 1970. I have only ever seen one single in the 'Pop' series, 'Dear Mother, Love Albert', by actor Rodney Bewes (REVP-1001; 1970), but Bob Mayhead says that REVP-1002, also from 1970, was Smoke's 'Dreams Of Dreams'; rumour has it that there may have been at least fourteen of them.
